Units Coordinate System
Motype uses a three-dimensional, homogeneous, resolution independent coordinate system. Motion Mixer, text and camera position values are expressed in units.

• The X Axis is the horizontal axis, the Y axis is the vertical axis and the Z axis points towards the viever.
• The center of the screen is the origin (X=0.0 ,Y=0.0, Z=0.0).
• The coordinate of the left border of the screen (X axis) is always -1.0
• The coordinate of the right border of the screen (X axis) is always 1.0
• The bottom and the top of the screen coordinates (Y axis) depend of the screen Aspect Ratio.
The coordinate system with a perspective viewpoint:

Motype's default camera position points at the center of the screen. If you rotate the camera on any axis, without changing its (x,y) default position, it will always point to the center of the screen.  This allows you to rotate the text. Moving the camera on the Z axis doesn't prevent this characteristic.
